We started this blog in 2007, following a big move from Champaign, Illinois, where we’d been in graduate school, to Arlington, Virginia, where we were starting new library jobs in the DC Metro area.  Two years later, we’ve moved from Arlington to Alexandria, and then from Alexandria to Ann Arbor, Michigan, in pursuit of bigger and better jobs and adventures.  I guess you could say that we were mid-Atlantic Midwest transplants, but now we’re back on familiar soil.

Two years ago we were into adventures, good food, good beer, dance parties, music, board games, bikes, protein powder, Trader Joe’s, our ridiculous cats and imaginary (future) corgi, and getting stuck in the occasional elevator.  We still like most of those things, but are also into local food, home brewing, naps, gardening and canning, making up silly songs, swimming, Zingerman’s, and the occasional outdoorsy adventure.
